Tulip Box Card

Spring is coming! There are flower blossoms sprouting up all over the place. After a long rainy winter, signs of spring are much welcomed. With spring in the air, I started thinking about tulips. They are a signature flower in Oregon. In truth, we even have tulip festivals at different farms throughout the state. This brings me to the tulip box card SVG cut file. There are tons of flower box cards out there, in fact, I’ve made a daisy box card last year. I wanted to create something out of the ordinary.

When I think of quaint farmhouses, I always picture them with planter boxes under every window. This is how I came up with the planter box and window scene for this card.

The card is 7 inches tall by 5 inches wide when laying flat, so it fits in a standard 5×7 envelope. Standing up the box card is 2 inches wide. I love that box cards can be more than just a card. They can be propped open to stand on display on the mantel or desk. I’m thinking I’m going to place this one on my desk at work for some springtime flair.

I cut the entire base on 1 sheet of 8.5 x 11 inch brown cardstock. I used scraps to cut the rest of the flower and window pieces. I cut the window twice so I could sandwich the vellum between it.

I did use an embossing folder on the card base and distress ink to all the pieces for extra interest before assembly.
