Layered Tools Dad Card

Masculine cards can be really hard to find. I know I struggle to come up with designs that aren’t too feminine. When I think about men, my dad particularly, I always think of him spending time tinkering in the garage. That is how I came up with this gem of a card- Layered Tools Dad Card.

Card Information:

This is a 4.25 x 5.5 inch card with 3 layers on the front. Once you’re done cutting it out, you are also left with the bonus “DAD” letters you can use on the inside or save for another project.

Supplies:

Foam Squares

Step 1: Cut the Layers

On your Silhouette or Cricut, cut each layer of paper. Cutting the tool layers is the most intricate parts of this project. If you need help with paper cutting check out this post- Cutting Troubles.

Step 2: Assemble the Layers

Use glue or foam to layer up the tool layers and the dad layer on top. An easy way to do this is to stand the layers up on your table to make sure they are flush. Don’t forget to place the centers of the “DAD” cutouts.

Step 3: Assemble the Card

Adhere the layers to the front of the card making sure it is flush all the way around. You’ll have plenty of space on the inside to write your personal message.
